About Sam

Sam is an accomplished and experienced registered nurse with a specialty in wound care management. She has worked many years in a number of public hospitals in Melbourne, including as an Associate Nursing Unit Manager (ANUM) and wound resource nurse within her ward. 

 

She graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from Victoria University, and has more than 12 years experience in acute nursing care. She is confident in providing holistic and all-rounded care, including administering medications, post-operative care, and catheter care. 

 

Sam holds a Graduate Certificate in Wound Management, and a Master of Advanced Nursing, both from Monash University. She refines her skills and knowledge regularly, including Chronic Oedema Lower Limb training. She is also an active member with Wounds Australia. In 2022, she will begin further tertiary studies at Monash University with a Master of Wound Care. 

 

She is passionate in both the management and prevention of complex wounds, with extensive knowledge of wound dressing products. Sam also voluntarily works with clients in Sri Lanka, and provides online advice as well as dressing products for chronic wounds. She is caring and tenacious in improving clients’ knowledge of their own health.
